In Destiny 2 today, you reach the Lighthouse in Trials of Osiris by getting seven wins on a Lighthouse Passage. Losses no longer reset you. Going flawless now means a true seven-win streak with no losses, and that streak is what unlocks the Flawless Passage, the red glow and the best Adept odds. This guide reflects Trials as it has run since the Monument of Triumph update brought it back on 12 June 2026.
When Trials is live
- Start: Friday daily reset, 17:00 UTC.
- End: the Tuesday weekly reset, 17:00 UTC.
- Off weeks: Trials does not run during Iron Banner weeks. The weekend of 23 October 2026 was one of them.
To enter, you need a Power level of 200. Since The Edge of Fate, Power does not affect combat in Trials, so it only gates entry. You also need to own a current expansion and have SMS verification on your Bungie account. If you are under the floor, power leveling fixes that quickly.
Passages, or cards
Players still call them cards. Saint-14 offers two passages, and a third is earned:
| Passage | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Trials of Osiris Passage | A lower-stakes way to play for reputation, engrams and weekly challenges. It does not give Lighthouse access. |
| Lighthouse Passage | Progress toward the Lighthouse. Seven total wins open it, regardless of losses. |
| Flawless Passage | Earned with a true seven-win streak. It carries the highest reward tier and the red glow. |
Lighthouse Passage games use open skill-based matchmaking. The old rule where one loss ended your card is gone, but losses still break your streak, and the streak is what drives the best loot.

What a true flawless gets you
Weekly rewards scale with your longest real win streak that week:
- 1 to 3 wins in a row: materials, armour, Osirian Ciphers and better Adept chances.
- 5 wins in a row: the yellow Trials glow and reward progress.
- 7 wins in a row: the red glow, an Adept weapon and the Flawless Passage.
Each Lighthouse visit gives a chest with chances at Adept weapons. Two things push those chances up, and they are rolled separately: your best win streak that week, and how many of your wins came as a full fireteam of three. So a trio with a streak gets the most from every visit. Solo players can still reach the Lighthouse, but they leave Adept chances on the table.
Loot in the Monument of Triumph era
- Every Trials weapon can drop every weekend. There is no longer one featured weapon you have to wait for.
- Bonus Focus Pools. Each weekend a pool of about seven weapons gets extra drop weight.
- Weapon Attunement. Set it with Saint-14 to raise the chance of a named weapon.
- Lighthouse pool. The Lighthouse has its own weapons: Igneous Hammer, The Messenger, Shayura's Wrath, The Summoner and The Inquisitor.
- Cruel Electrum armour. A new set with a two-piece bonus that helps when allies die and a four-piece bonus that hides you from radar after Primary final blows.
- Saint-14 reputation. The rank reward track is back, and Trials Engrams can be focused on tiered Trials gear from The Edge of Fate, Ash and Iron and Renegades.
Gear now drops in Tiers 1 to 5, and Adept weapons sit at the top. That is the main reason people still chase flawless.
Maps
Up to three maps are featured each weekend, one drawn from each of three pools. Pool 1 is Burnout, Javelin-4 and Endless Vale. Those three also appear in Pool 2, so they show up more often. It is worth learning their lanes and power positions first.
How to actually go flawless
- Play as a trio. Communication wins Trials, and full-fireteam wins also improve your Adept odds.
- Warm up first. Play a few games on the Trials of Osiris Passage before you start a Lighthouse run.
- Stick together. Most rounds are lost by one player getting picked off alone. Trade kills instead of peeking solo.
- Use heavy and supers on purpose. Plan who takes heavy ammo and when supers come up.
- Know when to stop. If tilt sets in after a loss, stop. The Lighthouse is still open at seven total wins.
If your loadout is the weak spot, the endgame weapons and exotics from raids can make a real difference in PvP too.
Getting a flawless carry
You can take a Trials carry as self-play: two of our players join you and you play every match, so the Lighthouse visit and its rewards are yours. Piloted runs, where a pro plays on your account with appear offline, involve account sharing, which breaks Bungie's terms of service. You can follow your order in the live order chat, every match is tracked, and you can get a refund before work starts.
